Introduction

Hello everyone, i see everyone is enjoying the new website and that makes all of us who worked on it happy! Major changes like this are always hard to adjust and get used to however the release of v4 went fairly well with no major complaints or concerns to date. With this new website comes a variety of new features and opportunity's for the discord bot development community as a whole.

Popplio

If you don't know by now Popplio is our new and improved API server made using primarily GoLang, this API has been completely revamped from our previous "Rowlet" API and now offers a ton more endpoints and objects for developers to interact with and add to their bots including:

  • Advanced Bot Search
  • Bot List Announcements
  • Server, Shard and User Count
  • Detailed User Information and Fetching
  • Detailed Bot Information and Fetching

On top of being our primary API Popplio also controls a majority of the ways you use and interact with this website xD

Documentation

Our documentation site is currently in the process of being redesigned and update to better reflect our new API and all the recent changes to our both Reedwhisker (Website) and Popplio (API). A release date for the new docs is yet to be announced however for the time being you can use: https://spider.infinitybots.gg/docs which is documentation for popplio specifically made using open api.

Discord Server

Our Discord Server is also slowly receiving minor updates and changes to the channel, roles, categories and permissions layouts to better reflect the website and help keep everything neat, tidy and user friendly!

Archived Projects

I'm sure most of you have probably noticed by now that we have, deprecated, archived or completely removed a variety of our old open source code including our blog, cheat sheet, api and applications site. We did this to make way for the newer and more improved resources such as Popplio which are all open-source (aside from the actual website of course). We have also discontinued these old projects as the majority of them have been migrated into this website!

Version 3 Plans

I have been receiving a lot of questions regarding the source code to our old website (v3) in regards to if we will be making it public/open-source and unfortunately the answer to this question has always been and will always be NO this code is extremely outdated, unmaintained and not worth our time to update just to release to the public.

Final Thoughts

That is all i have to update you on for now, if you have any questions or concerns regarding this blog post, our api, our documentation or just the release of our new website in general please do not hesitate to reach out to me in a Direct Message or open up a ticket in our server and we will be happy to help sort it out <3
