Information on how we are handling youtube bots!

Hello everyone, I’m sure tons of you are wondering why we recently started removing bots who deal with YouTube for their music features?
We will be answering those questions in this post!
Back Story
As I’m sure most of you already know a while back discord and YouTube both started working together to shut down and eliminate the popular bots who used YouTube for music!
This strike was the result of some backlash from google/YouTube regarding bots who abuse the api to provide music playback through third party libraries and paywalls!
Stand Point
Due to this the bots we know and love were shut down and threatened to be sued or brought to court for pirating music and receiving payment for services or features they do not own rights to.
This inevitably caused discord to start laying the hammer down on any and all bots who use YouTube for their music services.
Using YouTube will now get your bot denied for verification and possibly even banned for third party api abuse.
With all of this in mind unfortunately we will no longer be allowing YouTube based music bots to be listed on our website as they are a violation of both the Discord and YouTube Terms of Service and Use License!
