What is AntiX?

With recent development in the united states, many People have made the decision to ban x.com to avoid giving Elon Musk a Platform - but more on that below.

AntiX is a Discord bot, built to raise awareness about X, Elon etc. As you post a message containing an x.com link, it will kindly remind you as to why you maybe shouldn't use this platform, as well as mirror the Tweet's content to discord, so a) Less clicks will be sent to Twitter and b) People lacking an account can participate as well.

Command-Wise, it's pretty limited, only containing a command about why you shouldn't use X (As well as another feature I'll go on about further down) as well as a command listing common alternatives for Twitter.

About Twitter, Elon and the controversies

Elon has repeatedly outed himself as a supporter of the far-right - For evidence, you only need to (ironically enough) look at his Twitter account.
He repeatedly claimed to be a "free-speech absolutist", yet X has been accused of censoring Kamala Harris' account during the election.

But thanks to x why I don't need to go too deep into this anymore.
The second most glaring issue is the requirement to have an X Account to view posts - which makes the conversation inaccessible to those without an account.

The second Feature - AMP Links

Google has had its fair share of controversies - One of which being Accellerated Mobile Pages (AMP). Inspired by u/AmputatorBot on reddit, AntiX now allows for automatic detection of AMP Links in your messages and will friendly remind you about the controversies of AMP, as well as try to provide the canonical link.

AMP Links are supposed to be faster though, right? But not so fast! (See what I did there?)

• AMP gains its performance simply by caching Pages beforehand - which is nothing special to AMP.
• When uncached, the performance boost is actually minimal, if existent at all.
• Google is no stranger to throttling anything that isn't using Google Services (See how they purposefully throttled YouTube on Firefox). Allegedly, Google throttles the load times of non-AMP Ads by giving them a one-second delay.

AMP has its issues, and these impact cached AMP pages the most. While uncached AMP pages (e.g. bbc.com/news/amp/) may have a better user experience and minor performance improvements, they still come at a high price. AMP makes sites less diverse, more homogeneous, and threatens the free and Open Web. Hence, I developed AntiX
