Certification Program

Requirements, benefits, and terms for Omniplex's Certification Program now open to servers too.

Certification is open to both bots and servers now apply for either through Apply.

Requirements

These are the actual, automatically-checked requirements the application form enforces. You only need to clear one of the three reach/engagement bars below, not all of them we'd rather certify something that's genuinely excelling in one way than reject it for not excelling in every way at once.

Bots:

  1. Listed for at least 3 days.
  2. Must be approved, not still pending review.
  3. At least one of: 50+ servers, 15+ unique clicks, or 50+ votes.

Servers:

  1. Listed for at least 3 days.
  2. Must be approved, not still pending review.
  3. At least one of: 100+ members, 15+ unique clicks, or 50+ votes.

If your application doesn't meet the bar yet, the form will tell you exactly which numbers you're short on.

What staff also look for

The numeric requirements above get you through the door, but a staff member reviews every application by hand. These aren't automatically checked, but they matter:

  • A good long description that makes effective use of Markdown/HTML.
  • Follows best practices for Discord bots/servers.
  • An active, friendly, and helpful support server or community.
  • 100% original work if it's a fork, it should be heavily modified, not a re-skin.
  • Makes use of site features (Extra Links, tags, etc.) where relevant.
  • Bonus: uses the widget on a website, command, or GitHub repository.

Benefits

  1. Certified badge on your bot or server's card and page.
  2. (Bots) Certified role in our Discord Server, listed highest amongst other bots.
  3. Featured on our main Discord Server.
  4. A strong shot at a Featured homepage slot on top of that, you can buy a guaranteed one directly through the Shop.

Terms of Service

  1. Abuse of the API or the voting system in an attempt to gain access to this program will result in a ban from the voting system, or a permanent banning of your bot/server and/or you from the service.
  2. Any attempts to harm the Omniplex service may lead to the permanent banning of your bot/server and/or you from the service.
  3. The staff team reserves the right to revoke certification at any time without warning.
